Central India heritage and wildlife tour with Tajmahal


DAY-01 : DELHI
On arrival at Delhi,meeting and greeting by representative. Transfer to hotel. Do local sightseeing of must see tourist spots of bustling Delhi city.

Local sightseeing tour of Delhi can be divided into two phases: in first phase visit old Delhi area which covers Red fort, Rajghat (place where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated), Jama Masjid (mosque), rickshaw ride of Chandini Chowk, Humayun Tomb etc. In next phase visit tourist spots located in New Delhi area like India gate, Iskcon temple, Qutab minar, Laxmi narayan temple etc.

DAY 02 : DELHI – JAIPUR (265KMS/06:00 HRS) 
After early morning breakfast, drive to pink city –Jaipur. On reaching Jaipur city, check-in into hotel for refreshment. Rest of the at leisure, get prepared for next day city tour. Evening can be spent by attending evening aarti (worship) in famous temples of Jaipur city like Birla temple, Govind Jee temple, Galtaji temple, etc., walk around Man-sagar lake, taking dinner in heritage restaurants etc.

DAY 03 : JAIPUR
After morning breakfast, do local sightseeing of Jaipur city by visiting : Amer fort, city palace, Hawa mahal, Gaitore, Jaigarh fort, Jantar-mantar observatory, Nahargarh fort etc.
Amer fort in Jaipur was built by King Mirja Raja Jai Singh & Sawai Jai Singh-II (last king of fort Amer) in 1727. City palace in Jaipur city is located in heart of city. It is a 7 storied Palace made in Rajput and Mughal architecture with large halls, gardens, marble pawed galleries etc.  There is a museum also their which offers glimpse of royal lifestyle of royal family like their costumes, arms, furnitures, vessels etc. Hawa mahal was built in 1799 by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh, having 5 storied semi – octagonal building with 152 windows with balconies. Jantar mantar is a observatory built in 18th century by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh-II.

DAY 04 :  JAIPUR – AGRA ( 225KMS )
After breakfast, drive towards the Agra city, doing enroute visit Fatehpur Sikhri.
Fatehpur Sikhri – Built during the second half of the 16th century by the Emperor Akbar, Fatehpur Sikri (the City of Victory) was the capital of the Mughal Empire for 10 years.
On reaching Agra city, check-in into the hotel.

DAY 05 : AGRA/GWALIOR (120 KMS/ 03:00 HRS BY ROAD)
After breakfast, proceed for half day visit of Tajmahal and Agra fort. Take lunch in Agra and later drive to Gwalior city, situated in Madhya Pradesh State of India.

DAY 06 : GWALIOR – ORCHHA (140 KMS/03:00 HRS BY ROAD)
Do full day sightseeing of Gwalior city. Sightseeing of Gwalior includes visit to Gwalior visit Gwalior Fort built by Tomar Raja Raja Man Singh, Gujari Mahal, Man Mandir Palace, Teli ka mandir etc. In evening, drive towards Orchha town, situated on the bank of Betwa river.

DAY 07 : ORCHHA/KHAJURAHO (180 KMS/ 04:30 HRS BY ROAD)
After taking breakfast, move out for sightseeing of monuments made during Bundela dynasty in Orchha.
Orchha sightseeing includes visit to Jehangir fort, situated on the bank of Betwa river. Here Jehangir (son of Emperor Akbar) spent just one night. In addition to this visit cenotaphs, Ram temple etc. For adventure loving visitors, river rafting is also done on Betwa river, depending upon the level of water.
Take lunch in Orchha and then drive towards Khajuraho. On reaching Khajuraho, check-in into the hotel. Enjoy evening light & sound show held in Khajuraho temple complex.

DAY-08 : KHAJURAHO – BANDHAVGARH

After morning breakfast, do sightseeing of world famous Khajuraho temples.
Khajuraho temple complexes are divided in to 3 groups : Western group of temples, Eastern group of temples & Southern group of temples. Khajuraho were build during 9th & 10th century using white sand stone depicting magnificent work of sculpture.
After lunch in hotel, check-out from hotel to drive towards Bandhavgarh National Park, located at a distance of 270kms/ 05:30hrs drive.

DAY-09 : BANDHAVGARH
Take morning and evening park safari of Bandhavgarh.
Bandhavgarh National Park is a special Tiger reserve known for tiger density. It is popular for good tiger-sighting in India. In Tala range of Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve, density of tigers is highest in India. It was the private hunting preserve before 1968 of Royal family of Rewa. Bandhavgarh forest had witnessed many White Tigers in Bandhavgarh in past like in 1915, 1948, 1951 etc. Fort at the height of 811 mts high hillock is another important place to visit in Bandhavgarh game drive. Here one can find ancient temples, fort, man-made ponds, statues, caves, scripts and best view for bird photography. Important area inside Bandhavgarh are: Chakradhara, Gopalpur pond,  Sidhh-baba, Andheyari jheria (Andheyari=dark & Jheriya=cluster of trees), Charger’s point, Shesh Shaiya, Sita Mandap, etc. Sita and Charger were the most photographed tiger couples in the world, lives in Bandhavgarh.

DAY-10 : BANDHAVGARH – KANHA
Do morning safari at Bandhavgarh national park. After lunch, drive (255kms/06:00 hrs) towards Kanha National Park.

DAY-11 : KANHA

Kanha National Park is rated as one of the most well maintained Tiger Reserve of INDIA. It is among first 9 National Parks, included in Project Tiger at the time of its inception. DAY-12 : KANHA – Jabalpur – DELHI

 proceed for final departure, drive towards Delhi airport to board flight and fly back to home / next destination.
